How to Calculate Your Life Path Number by Hand

Step 1: Write Your Birth Date

Write your complete birth date numerically. For example, July 14, 1990 becomes 07/14/1990. The format is always month/day/year.

Step 2: Reduce Each Component

Reduce each part of your birth date to a single digit or Master Number (11, 22, 33):
Month: July = 07 → 0+7 = 7
Day: 14 = 1+4 = 5
Year: 1990 = 1+9+9+0 = 19 → 1+9 = 10 → 1+0 = 1

Step 3: Add the Three Numbers

Add the reduced month, day, and year: 7 + 5 + 1 = 13. Then reduce the total: 1+3 = 4. This person has a Life Path Number 4.

Important: Preserve Master Numbers

If any component or the total equals 11, 22, or 33 before reduction, preserve it as a Master Number. For example, November (month 11) is preserved as 11. The 29th day becomes 2+9 = 11, preserved as 11.

Example: Master Number Life Path

A person born November 29, 1987: 11 (month, Master) + 11 (day: 2+9) + 7 (year: 1+9+8+7 = 25 → 2+5 = 7) = 29 → 2+9 = 11. This person has a Master Number 11 Life Path — The Intuitive.
